PaperMirror tutorial: scan, one-click rewrite, retest
TL;DR Sign up for 1,000 credits → upload or paste → read the overall rate and red paragraphs → one-click rewrite on high-risk bands → retest → read it yourself. Detection is 1 credit/character; rewrite is 2 credits/character.
Domestic “lower AI” sites all ship a long “from signup to success” guide. PaperMirror’s path is shorter because scan and rewrite live on the same report. You do not pick “CNKI mode / VIP mode.”
0. Prepare
- Latest .docx or plain text. Save PDFs to Word first.
- 20,000 characters per run; skip scans under 200 characters.
- Sign up for 1,000 credits, or try 1,000 characters on the homepage without an account.
1. Scan
- Open Start a scan.
- Paste or upload, confirm the estimated credit use.
- Wait for MirrorEngine to score paragraphs.
- Read the dashboard overall rate plus high / medium / low colour.
2. One-click rewrite
Only touch red paragraphs. Rewrite is 2 credits/character. Compare with the original: terms, numbers, citations still there? Locally rewrite any sentence you cannot read.
3. Retest
Score again on the same engine. Aim: overall rate in the low-risk band, continuous red gone. Do not declare victory on ZeroGPT.
4. Before you submit to school
- Read it aloud. The argument still holds.
- Follow school policy on disclosing AI-assisted polish.
- Official submit still goes through Turnitin or CNKI (China’s academic database / AIGC checker).
The tutorial takes a few minutes
If credits run out, buy the ¥30 pack. You only pay for what you use.
Start a scanDetection and rewrite are for pre-submit self-checks. Follow your school's integrity policy. PaperMirror is not Turnitin or CNKI. The school system is the source of truth.
